On a cold winter’s night…
They looked up and saw a star…
And to the earth it gave great light…
Light and life to all He brings…
The everlasting light, making all things merry and bright!

Light is essential at Christmas. It symbolizes the hope of brightness and warmth in the middle of a dark winter, the promise of a new day yet to come. This Christmas season we strung the lights and lit the fire, to celebrate the light and life Jesus’ birth offers to each of us.
