But there are a few attributes that everyone agrees you’ll find true in a country song: a simple chord, a memorable chorus and a strong storyline. And isn’t it the story that grabs your heart? Whether it’s about love, loneliness, triumph, pride, family or heartbreak – we hear words that many times line up with our own lives in a way that touches us deeply.
